This coffee is selectively hand picked as a way to promote quality. It is the second step after good agricultural practices that is majorly done at farm. Selectively hand picking guarantees high cup score along the Coffee Value chain.
This is a selectively handled product of Arabica coffee that is has a medium roast profile with intrinsic characteristics on cup. It’s grown at an altitude of between 2000 to 2100 m above sea level on Mount Rwenzori.
Parchment is a second category of coffee produced by karangura peak. It’s a highly maintained type of coffee commonly known as wet/ washed coffee. It under goes several stages of picking, sorting, pulping, fermentation, washing and finally drying.

It is roasted to a medium profile, exposing its black current caramel and tropical fruit flavors with an apple acidity and a dark chocolate finish.
Karangura Peak Coffee started in 2013 as an association and, in 2017, developed into a cooperative. Its purpose is to impact communities through collective marketing, which in turn will increase coffee sale volumes and maximize profits by enabling farmers to improve their livelihoods and educate their children beyond the primary cycle.
